This is a photo our 4 year old grandson at our 6th Annual Jude and Judy Summer Birthday Bash.
I asked “Boppy” to do the pose - mouth open, hands back and act likine your taking a deep breath.
Always take enough photos - one picture might be chosen from many.
This photo actually had the mouth open, and eyes open. The body from one of the other photos was needed, so two photos were used to get one.
Using the “selection tool” the background was eliminated.
In this photo, the hair was chopped off - fortunately, a swimmer cap was available on the Internet for “Boppy”.
Goggles were also needed and found on the Internet. Using the “selection tool”, goggles were extracted. Then goggle layer copied. Again, using the “selection tool”, the eye part of goggles was extracted. NOTE: “Inverted” (“Command I” Mac or “Control I” PC shortcut) to get proper selection. Change the eye goggle layer “Opacity” and/or “Fill” to 50% or less from 100% to be able see the eyes - and know there is protection for the eyes).
The photo of the curved road was added. Next lots of water splashing:
Selected out of a photo, then multipliple layer copies with each layer copy moved until the splash looks realistic (water splashing to the left, right, behind and in front). The “brush tool” both solid and texturing “fingers” were used on the splash
The “pen tool” was used for selecting to build the road piece that buckles in the foreground.

This is a photo of Spartacus on his bed with Snoopy (one of his favorite toys).
Spartacus is a 5 year old rescue, part Papillon part Poodle. After several years of running out the front door and tracking him down many - many - many times, he's finally found a home he loves.
The original photo on the stairs, was pathed out with the “selection tool” eliminating the background. The photo of the tornado and heyfield came from the Internet, or a photo of something interested taken could be used.
The “brush tool” with texturing “fingers” was used on the heyfield was used in the vector mask to look like hey was in front of the doggy bed.
